Marble Sort Level 397 presents a tricky layout where the central area is sealed off by a diamond of Iced Boxes, wrapped in Hidden Boxes, with Tunnels on the edges and Mystery Boxes below. The winning strategy is to focus on the left side early, clear the Red Iced Box, and then manage the Mystery Boxes one at a time to avoid clogging your Conveyor Belt.

The board features a Top Tray with a complex structure. The bottom row of the Top Tray has four boxes above the drop chute: Light Blue on the left, then Dark Blue, White, and Pink on the right. Above them are Purple, Pink, a Hidden Box, and Yellow. The center is dominated by a large block of Hidden Boxes protecting four Iced Boxes arranged in a diamond: Red on the left, Green on top, Blue at the bottom, and Yellow on the right. Four Tunnels, each marked with a '2', are positioned: one bottom left, one far left wall, one top right, and one middle right. Below, there are four columns of bottom Boxes. The far-left column has an active Pink at the front, with Red, Orange, a Mystery Box, and Light Blue behind it. The center-left column starts with an active Red, then a Mystery Box, followed by two Purples and another Mystery Box. The center-right column begins with an active Dark Blue, then Red, and two Mystery Boxes. The far-right column has Light Blue, White, Light Blue, and Red in order.

Marble Sort Level 397 Walkthrough

Your initial active bottom Boxes are Pink, Red, Dark Blue, and Light Blue from left to right. The safe early moves are to clear the Pink and Dark Blue boxes that are directly accessible at the bottom of the Top Tray, as they match these active slots.

The main trap is the Light Blue box at the bottom left of the Top Tray. It looks like an easy match for the far-right column's Light Blue slot, but if you drop it early, you'll fill a Conveyor Belt slot with a color that needs two more matches, which are hidden deeper in the board. Avoid that move until later.

How to Beat Marble Sort Level 397 — Step-by-Step

Phase one: Clear the front row

  1. Tap the Pink box at the bottom right of the Top Tray (the one that is directly above the drop chute, on the right side). This Pink will drop into the far-left active bottom Box, clearing it.
  2. Next, tap the Dark Blue box that is second from the left in the bottom row of the Top Tray. This Dark Blue will go into the center-left active bottom Box, clearing it as well.
  3. After these taps, new boxes are revealed: a Purple, a Pink, and a Yellow become visible in the Top Tray. Also, several Hidden Boxes become playable.
  4. Important: Do not tap the Light Blue or White boxes in the bottom row of the Top Tray yet. Keep your Conveyor Belt empty for the next phase.

Phase two: Break the ice and open the left side

  1. Now you need to find two boxes that are adjacent to the Blue Iced Box at the bottom of the diamond. Look for any playable colors that are next to it, and tap them to shatter the ice. This will open up the center.
  2. After breaking the Blue Iced Box, your goal is to reach the Red Iced Box on the left side. Clear any boxes that block access to it, and when it is exposed, tap the boxes adjacent to it to shatter the ice.
  3. Once the Red Iced Box is broken, any Red marbles that were locked inside will be released. Prioritize clearing these Reds, as multiple bottom stacks need Red early.
  4. Be careful with the Tunnels. If you clear a box that is directly below a Tunnel, it will activate and spit out two extra boxes. Before you do that, make sure you have at least three empty slots on your Conveyor Belt, because the Tunnel's contents are random.

Phase three: Handle the Mystery Boxes

  1. As you clear the bottom rows, the center-left stack will reveal a Mystery Box after the Red, and the center-right stack will show a Red after the Dark Blue. Clear that Red from the center-right first, because it is a known color.
  2. Do not trigger the Mystery Box on the center-left yet. If it reveals a Green or Yellow, those colors are still trapped in the upper Iced Boxes, and you would have no way to clear them, causing a jam.
  3. Work on breaking the Yellow Iced Box on the right side of the diamond. This will give you access to the top right Tunnel and more playable colors.
  4. Once the right side is open, you can go back and tap the Light Blue and White boxes that you left at the beginning. Use them to clear the far-right column.
  5. Now, trigger the Mystery Boxes one at a time. Clear the color it reveals, empty your Conveyor Belt, and only then trigger the next Mystery Box. This loop will help you clear the rest of the board safely.

Tips & tricks

  • Always keep your Conveyor Belt as empty as possible, especially before activating any Tunnel or Mystery Box.
  • Work on breaking the Iced Boxes in an order that matches the colors you need: Red first, then Yellow, and so on.
  • Use the bottom Boxes as a guide for which colors to prioritize. If a color is needed in multiple stacks, clear it early.

Common mistakes

  • Dropping the Light Blue box early is a common mistake that floods your Conveyor Belt with a hard-to-match color.
  • Triggering two Mystery Boxes at once can lead to a situation where you cannot clear the revealed colors, resulting in a jam.
